Ugh. Outside is painful. Yesterday at about 6 PM I head over to my friend’s house. They’re twins and our mutual friend that moved up to Massachusetts a couple of years ago is coming down to visit. So I head over. Let the hurting begin. At first we play some pinball (They have an awesome Adam’s Family one) and it’s all good. Inside.
Then we go outside. To swim. I’d say we swam for about 2 and a half hours. During that time we were using those water torpedos. I don’t know if you’re familiar with them but you throw them underwater and they slowly sink down. Not like the weights that you go diving for, but similar. Anyways, we like to slam the torpedos down on the water. By doing this, they go a hell of a lot faster. Unfortunetely, it went from slamming to throwing. So while defending my wall of the pool, (The game was to try and get your torpedo to touch the opponents wall) I come up for air. Just as I’m coming up for air, my Massachusetts friend throws the torpedo..hard. *Heavy torpedo thrown hard hits Michael in the head* OUCH. Now this is one of those “It hurts so much you can even yell pains.” I literally start sinking down in the pool and my friend has to pull me up. The torpedo hit from the top of my mouth, my nose, and all the way to my eye. Goggles protect eyes. (Thankfully! I’ve had too many incidents with balls hitting glasses) Ugh. Lots of pain. Teeth feel like they’ve moved and got a nice nose bleed and welt. Still hurts badly today. However, that is not all! Let’s move on to the next activity, MANHUNT!
Ahhh Manhunt. Hide and Seek Tag in the dark, but with a cooler name. Now, it’s 8:30. We just finished pizza by the pool and are getting ready. Walkie talkies out. No flashlights yet. It’s JUST light enough to see someone move, but dark enough so that you really have to look carefully. The first two games are fine. Fun, nobody hurt, no flashlights needed. By the third game, it’s about 9:30. We go back to the house, grab some lemonade, and get some flashlights. This time it’s the twins against me and EJ. (friend’s name
) By this time we know that staying together, silent, and not moving at all is the best plan. Now, my friend’s house has a pretty big property. Really big. Like, REALLY big. It’s basically a field. Then their neighbors also allowed us to play on those properties, so we’ve got the entire neighborhood. EJ and I sprint to one of the houses. They have some evergreen trees in the back and there’s space inbetween two rows if you hop over tons of stuff. So we hide in there. And squat. And wait. 30 minutes of squatting. In twigs and pine needles and all sorts of stuff. I’m surprised I didn’t get a tick. We see people with flashlights go by us twice, but didn’t look in our spot.
Finally we couldn’t take it. We went out. I walked in every single light possible, and the twins still couldn’t find us. XD We went back to the house and waited on the doorstep. TADA! We’re spotted. *sprint* I sprint back towards the trees and my friend goes the opposite direction. Almost at the woods, just need to jump and hide. Uh-oh. I trip on a tree root. XD Go rolling into all the twigs and stuff (still didn’t get a tick! Thank you bug spray) and get caught. xP It was fun, but had to go home at 10. Meh. Anyways, ranting over.
Beware the outside.
Aww poor Michael XDDDDD Sorry ;P
